Will my library card still valid if my residence permit in Finland expires?
Helmet libraries are open for everybody. Anyone who follows the customer regulations is allowed to use the libraries’ collections, services and customer facilities. You are obliged to use library materials, media and facilities in an appropriate way. You can obtain a library card and PIN code from any Helmet library by providing your address and presenting a valid photographic proof of identity with your personal identity code approved by the library. You need to have an address in Finland to get a library card. If you do not have a Finnish personal identity number, your library card is valid for twelve months at a time. You need to have a valid ID-card or other photographic proof of identity approved by the library when you want to extend the validity of your library card. The library doesn't ask residence permit from its customers, even tourists can get a library card if they meet the requiremets for the HelMet-library card.
So, to make it short: yes.
