Could you please tell me what Juhani Aho means by "esplanadilintuja" in his story 'Uskollinen' (from Lastuja I), Part II, 7th paragraph?

I checked the whole paragraph and the context for the word. The word is obsolescent and not used anymore. I would interpret it as an euphemism for a prostitute. The other interpretation would be that it refers to woman from high social class. But if you look at the context, you can see that all the occupations the narrator lists are working class occupations: shop assistants, dressmakers, working class daughters and servants. And before that: soldiers, sailors, peasants and craftsmen. In that context I would say that "esplanadilintuja" refers to prostitutes.
