Congratulations to you all!

I was wondering if there is in Finland the equivalent of an institute that is commissioned to discover, study and preserve the country's national heritage: wether they are archaeological sites, historical monuments, etc.

Also...

Is there any finnish university that offers Anthropology/ Archaeology course programs?

Cheers

Answer

The institute you are looking for is Museovirasto, or in English, Finland's National Board of Antiquities. It is the nation's specialist, service provider, developer and authority in material cultural heritage and the cultural environment field. It collects, manages and presents the national heritage of cultural history and records in addition to producing and providing knowledge.

Degrees in archeology can be studied in the Universities of Helsinki, Oulu and Turku; social and cultural anthropology in the University of Helsinki. You can also take open courses in most Finnish universities.
