Dier sir/ madamei would like to know about Lupelius.
According to profesor Stefano d'Anna, Monk Lupelius was a bizarre figure of a philosopher, born in Ireland one thousand years ago. He had created a School based on the belief that death is not ineluctable, it can be overcome, as it is just the fruit of mankind’s negative imagination. According to Lupelius, death is no more than a superstition, the bad habit of a hypnotized humanity. Using original methods and his unique principles, he prepared a new race of unbeatable warriors. His book...2.7.2011 10:00Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

How can i stop my karma?
To make it clear. In the real sense of the word it’s not you who suffer from karma now, but your friends you cheated. According to the law of karma we receive what we give. Our deeds go on vibrating and we maybe suffer for what we did either in this life or in the subsequent ones. But in fact karma is not good or bad. It is the underlying law of existence. Karma is like an anchor either holding us back or giving us the possibility to go consciously more deeply into the nature of...19.3.2013 10:35Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

birch whisk used in sauna (vihta)
Hello! The best time to make vihta is about from mid-June to mid-July. We have two types of big birches in Finland; rauduskoivu (silver birch) and hieskoivu (downy birch). Rauduskoivu comes into leaf earlier and the leaves are stronger. On the other hand leaves of hieskoivu has this nice stronger aroma. You can use rauduskoivu and ad few twigs of hieskoivu into the middle of the whisk. You´ll identify rauduskoivu by its triangular and saw-edged leaves. Hieskoivu´s leaf is more...15.10.2014 14:39Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Is Veen emonen a description of Luonnotar, but also a different entity, spirit =one associated with
She must be Vellamo, the queen of the sea and the wife of Ahti, the king of the sea. They were gods, subordinated to Ukko, the main god of the ancient finns.  They were spiritual entities, but they also could have earthy power. Ved-Ava may be a figure in the mythology of India? The ancient finns, however, did not have any connection there. Different cultures have different gods for e. g. the sea, the forests, the hunting, the agriculture a.s.o. 3.6.2013 19:16Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Hello! You are right. The local government office of Padasjoki informed us that a branch of the Finnish 4H federation used to run a summer cafe at Enni Id's cabin, but the place has been closed for two summers. However, it should be possible to visit Enni Id's cabin, if you contact the head of recreational services in Padasjoki, tel. 0400 713 303. They'll do their best to help you. Our readers may wonder who Enni Id is. Samples of her work: http://www.phmuseomatka.fi/main.php?id=217 (...22.8.2010 21:56Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Lpg cylinders with their valves still intact are categorized as hazardous waste and should be disposed in a waste collection center such as the HSL Sortti-stations. Since the Lpg-canister in question is considered as household waste, a store selling them isn't required to collect or dispose the canisters. For a household with no car, you can use public transports. The two Sortti-stations in Helsinki are in Kivikonlaita 5, 00940 HELSINKI and Betonitie 3, 00390 HELSINKI. Hello I'd like to know if I'd like to have a private dentist for teeth braces...
Hello! Orthopaedic treatment like braces is not included in the municipal dental care that is provided for adults in Helsinki. This means you'll have to consult a private dentist. What you want is a hammaslääkäriasema or a hammaslääkärikeskus. This is a dental clinic where several private dentists work. Chances are one or two dentists in a big clinic speak good English or even some other language you'd prefer. It's OK to ask about that, and also about treatment fees. As the braces must be...5.7.2008 08:34Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Your anus is quite receptive. If you have a look at your normal stool, you may get the idea of how wide your anus opens without any problem, but you can work on stretching it so that it will accept even something bigger. The handle of a tooth brush is quite small, usually smooth and without any sharp edges. Four and a half inches should not be a problem, either, the bend in the colon comes first at about seven or eight inches. Just remember to use some lubricant. Here is a site that gives...11.9.2009 11:52Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Hello! I am wondering where I could find information on and get teeth bracers?
Hello! In your case the only way to get dental braces is to have it done by a private dentist. Adults are not entitled to orthodontic treatment at a municipal dental clinic, as you were told in Kannelmäki. The best way to go about it is to choose a private dental clinic ('yksityinen hammaslääkäriasema' in Finnish) at a convenient distance - you'll have to visit it frequently during the treatment. Most dentists speak English, but you may wish to ask about this, too, when you contact the...25.1.2010 23:06Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

hi how can I find a girl friend easily in finland
Hi! A lot depends on whether you are looking for a girl "to love and to cherish, until death do us part", or something more casual. It's important to be honest about the level of commitment you are offering. Romantic relationships are difficult enough between members of the same culture. Cross-cultural ones tend to be still more difficult. Your girlfriend's expectations may differ from your idea of dating. Anyway, try googling for "online dating finland" or the equivalent if you like to...14.9.2007 15:28Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto
