Duplicating machines were the predecessors of modern document-reproduction technology. They have now been replaced by scanners, laser printers and photocopiers, but for many years they were the primary means of reproducing documents for mass distribution.
Like the typewriter these machines were children of the second phase of the industrial revolution which started near the end of the 19th century. The second phase of the industrial revolution is also called the Second Industrial Revolution...11.7.2006 20:30

The archives of Oy Tampella Ab are archived at Elka - Central Archives For Finnish Business Records in Mikkeli. Tampella's archives are very large (about 700 metres of material) and it might be very hard to find the specific information.

There are many internet sites listing vacancies. Most are found on the job service of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. Chek it out: http://www.mol.fi/tyopaikat/tyopaikkatiedotus/haku/
Here's one commercial site that's available also in English: https://tyopaikat.oikotie.fi/en/?sort_by=publication_time
More similar sites can be found by googling "työpaikat pääkaupunkiseutu" ("jobs capital district") or simply "avoimet ty...18.8.2015 18:15Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto
I am sorry to hear that you have had so much trouble. This Helmet-database we are using has been updated about two weeks ago. But still we have considerable troubles because of the update. I advice you to call any Helmet library and to explain your situation. We will not of course charge anything of the overdue material.

I am afraid your question is a bit vague. What do you mean by electric gates and their number? Something like this perhaps:
http://www.theelectricgateshop.co.uk/
http://www.gatestore.com/
http://www.customgatesystems.com/
You might contact some manufacturers of different kinds of electric gates to try and find out the volume of their industrial manufacture.28.3.2012 00:13Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

The minimum lighting on a bycycle is white or yellow light in front. Obligatory reflectors are in front: white reflector; at the rear: red reflector; and on both wheels or tires white or yellow reflector.
Other lighting or reflector colours are not allowed on bycycles. The rear (if you have it) light must allways be red, not white and in front, yellow or white and in no means red. At night-time you have to have the front light on, and at day-time it is not obligatory.10.11.2011 21:53Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto
According to polkupyöräwiki it is still possible to get your own security number on the bike by the police for free. The insurance compenies may also lend a marking device to you. Even many bike stores do this marking for you if requested. However, the site also states that not all police stations mark bikes anymore. You need to contact your nearest muncipal police station to be sure. Probably due to the high prevalence of bike thefts (among other things), police is swamped with work and...23.6.2011 09:14Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

To start with, you seem to be refering to Helsinki Region Transport rules, which don't apply to other cities in Finland. The point is that one adult can use HKL transport free of charge with a a child AND a pram (a carriage in American). There are some minor restrictions to the rule.
As far as I could find out, there is no such system in Paris. There seem to be restrictions for type of pram that can be used (collapsable) in buses, plus in metro there can be problems using the stairs.

The bus driver has near him a card reader that is divided into four different sectors. And it is the passenger that chooses the right sector he/she has paid for in advance.

Saa.

The tram driver turns a switch that controls a magnet underneath the tram. The magnet in its turn controls a relay between the rails. The system is described in detail on this page http://www.raitio.org/historia/vaihteet/kaanto.htm
but unfortunately only in Finnish. However, there is also a diagram, which probably gives you an idea of how the system works.

Consider two ships on courses that intersect. The rule is that the ship on the left must give way. The stand on vessel (the one keeping her course)sees the green light on the starboard (right) side of the other ship. The give way vessel (the one who must keep out of way) sees the red light on the port side of the stand on vessel. The helmsman gives way to a red light by either turning away and showing a stern light (which is white), or by going around the stern of the stand on vessel.

Hi,
There's no final decisions made yet of the type of the nuclear reactors. I browsed through the applications and endorsements by the Government where the following information can be found.
First, the application by Fennovoima Oy. There's three proposed options to the type of the reactor:
a) European Pressurized Water Reactor (EPR), by Areva,
b) KERENA (a type of boiling water reactor), also by Areva,
c) Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR), by Toshiba-Westinghouse.
There's several...9.5.2010 22:07

This is a very specific technical question and we do not have the competence to provide an answer. However, the following link does contain a description of both long and short orifice plates concerning printing processes:
Commercial systems employing the continuous binary ink jet approach have been successfully employed using longer (e.g. page width) orifice plates of lower resolution (e.g. 120 orifices per inch) and shorter (e.g. line height) orifice plates having high resolution (e.g. 300...2.11.2009 13:50Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

It took Finland 8 years to deliver the war reparation goods to the Soviet Union. Newspaper link below contains all the essential information concerning the topic.

Suffice it to say that when the Soviets and the Finns signed the formal reparations agreement on December 17th 1944, it was set at $300 million based on the dollar’s 1938 value. Initially the period of payment was to be six years but already in the fall of 1945, the Soviet...30.7.2009 12:19Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto
