Hello! You are right. The local government office of Padasjoki informed us that a branch of the Finnish 4H federation used to run a summer cafe at Enni Id's cabin, but the place has been closed for two summers.
However, it should be possible to visit Enni Id's cabin, if you contact the head of recreational services in Padasjoki, tel. 0400 713 303. They'll do their best to help you.
Our readers may wonder who Enni Id is. Samples of her work:

There are several sources of information about nautical charts which, depending on the accuracy, will give information on currents of the East River (NYC).
Best sources of information on nautical charts might be a local governmental agency such as the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA):
http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/staff/charts.htm
Decent sources of information about nautical charts can also be found from the related wikipedia entry:

First site I found tells that the distance is 9641 km.
http://flights.airlinecodes.co.uk/route/Helsinki-Johannesburg--HEL-JNB/
Another site says 9601.87 km.
http://www.mapcrow.info/Distance_between_Helsinki_FI_and_Johannesburg_SF.html
Then third site says 9602 km.
http://motherland.ch/blog/?q=johannesburg
and fourth one 9,606 km.
http://fact.is/howfar/from/Johannesburg/
So we can safely say that the flight distance between Helsinki and Johannesburg is a little over 9600 kilometres.7.12.2008 18:46

You can find information for residence permits in the web site of Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The ministry is undergoing an organisation reform, so the web links and information given below may change from 1 september 2008. So you might have to navigate from the front page of the web site to find the up to date information: http://formin.finland.fi

Hi,
citizens of countries made subject to a visa requirement by Estonia must have a valid visa to enter Estonia. This also applies to passengers on day cruises.
More information:

There are no short day cruises to Sweden. Swedish visa requirements apply all cruises from Finland to Sweden.

The connection between Tampere city and airport is by bus, route number 61. For the trip from Helsinki to Tampere and retour you may choose between coach and train. I propose you compare the prices and timetables yourself, for choosing the ones that suit you best.
Tampere airport's webside is here:

Guatemala does not seem to be the most dangerous part of the world, from the health point of view. Required vaccinations are none, recommended a few. Hepatitis A and typhoid for all, hepatitis B for longer term. Yellow fever is required, if you come from an infected area (which Finland is not), and then of course such basic vaccinations as tetanus and measles. Against malaria there is no vaccination, yet.
The same information is available in many sources, here one of them:

Normally getting a tourist visa takes about 6 days.
To get it, you need
1) passport
2) Photo
3) Fill an application form (that you will get from a travel agency)
4) A copy of your travel insurance
5) A hotel reservation
Easiest way to make it is probably trough a travel agency.
For Spanish citizens the visa costs 63 euros.
