Laktoosin vaihtelevasta määrästä eri maissa ei ole viitteitä, mutta maidon prosessointi meijerissä näyttäisi vaikuttavan sen sietokykyyn eri ihmisillä. Tutkijoilla on asiasta eri mielipiteitä.
Hello!
The best time to make vihta is about from mid-June to mid-July.
We have two types of big birches in Finland; rauduskoivu (silver birch) and hieskoivu (downy birch). Rauduskoivu comes into leaf earlier and the leaves are stronger. On the other hand leaves of hieskoivu has this nice stronger aroma. You can use rauduskoivu and ad few twigs of hieskoivu into the middle of the whisk.
You´ll identify rauduskoivu by its triangular and saw-edged leaves. Hieskoivu´s leaf is more...15.10.2014 14:39Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Hi!
We recommend that you consult doctor in your local health center before proceeding to take any corrective surgeries
Many private clinics make acne scar corrective laser surgeries. There are also clinics specialized solely on plastic surgery but those are usually much more expensive.
You can use Google to search for these clinics / doctors or exaple by using search term "akne arpien poisto helsinki".
Here's a small fraction of private clinics that make skin corrective surgeries:

You may contact several places in the Helsinki area that offer cosmetic surgery. Some of the best known are:
www.nordstromhospital.fi
www.siluetti.fi
www.Eiransairaala.fi
Another option and probably a lot cheaper is to have the surgery in Estonia. Here is a link where you may get some more information about Estonian hospitals that offer cosmetic surgery.

Unfortunately I could not find information about the amount of ketoacidosis in Finland. You could ask more information from Meilahti Campus Library Terkko. This library contains collections in fields of medicine and health sciences.

Hello! In your case the only way to get dental braces is to have it done by a private dentist. Adults are not entitled to orthodontic treatment at a municipal dental clinic, as you were told in Kannelmäki.
The best way to go about it is to choose a private dental clinic ('yksityinen hammaslääkäriasema' in Finnish) at a convenient distance - you'll have to visit it frequently during the treatment. Most dentists speak English, but you may wish to ask about this, too, when you contact the...25.1.2010 23:06Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Your anus is quite receptive. If you have a look at your normal stool, you may get the idea of how wide your anus opens without any problem, but you can work on stretching it so that it will accept even something bigger. The handle of a tooth brush is quite small, usually smooth and without any sharp edges. Four and a half inches should not be a problem, either, the bend in the colon comes first at about seven or eight inches. Just remember to use some lubricant.
Here is a site that gives...11.9.2009 11:52Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto
According to professor Lasse Viinikka, the most important reason for going to sauna is that it’s relaxing and invigorating. Why, nobody knows for sure, but there are two different theories. According to some studies going to sauna increases the production of endorphins or hormones that create pleasure and satisfaction. According to the psychoanalytic theory the sauna brings to mind the happy days of childhood and so causes plenty of satisfaction.
According to studies by the Kagoshima...21.8.2008 21:25

Hello! Orthopaedic treatment like braces is not included in the municipal dental care that is provided for adults in Helsinki. This means you'll have to consult a private dentist.
What you want is a hammaslääkäriasema or a hammaslääkärikeskus. This is a dental clinic where several private dentists work. Chances are one or two dentists in a big clinic speak good English or even some other language you'd prefer. It's OK to ask about that, and also about treatment fees. As the braces must be...5.7.2008 08:34Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Excuse me, but from where do you have the information that Finnish public toilets would usually have a bidet/handshower? As many as I have visited in my life, I have never seen one.
I'm not saying that there are not such toilets in Finland, but they must be quite rare. I could imagine that they would be in some hotels and such places that cater to visitors coming from countries where bidet is in more frequent use.
As for any evidence connecting handshower with health, I hope you can find some...11.1.2008 17:50Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Guatemala does not seem to be the most dangerous part of the world, from the health point of view. Required vaccinations are none, recommended a few. Hepatitis A and typhoid for all, hepatitis B for longer term. Yellow fever is required, if you come from an infected area (which Finland is not), and then of course such basic vaccinations as tetanus and measles. Against malaria there is no vaccination, yet.
The same information is available in many sources, here one of them:

First of all, make sure you exercise regularly and get enough sleep. These health habits seem to be utterly important for your brain.
Until about ten years ago it was generally supposed that old brains were unable to grow new neurons. Since then it has been shown that older brains do produce them. You make this happen by increasing the flow of blood in the brain, i.e. by physical activity. As little as three hours of walking, swimming or other aerobic exercise a week increases the number of...16.9.2007 09:26Helsingin kaupunginkirjasto

Hello!
We forwarded your question to Yliopiston Apteekki (University Pharmacy).
In Yliopiston Apteekki pharmacy in the Helsinki city center (address Mannerheimintie 5) they have russian speaking staff. They are usually available in the daytime.
Foreign prescriptions are case-spesific so it depends on the situation. You could ask that directly from the pharmacy. In Finland you can´t visit the doctor in the pharmacy. Instead you need to contact the healthcare.14.3.2007 02:01

Hello!
There are many kinds of fistulas (see http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/fistula).
Maybe you mean obstetric fistula? Obstetric fistula is a tear in the tissue between the vagina and adjoining organs caused by prolonged labor in undernourished women. Obstetric fistula is almost unknown outside the poorest countries of Africa and Asia. Obstetric fistula leaves women constantly leaking urine and/or faeces.
Here are a few informative sites about obstetric fistula:...10.3.2007 02:22

According to recent experiments all the dreams are coloured. Our misconception that the dreams are usually black and white comes from our forgetfulness. How we remember our dreams depends on the functioning of the brains during the sleep but also on how we wake up. In all long and clear recollections of dreams there are plenty of expressions of colours. The researches sum their experiments up noting that in thousands recollections of dreams they did not find a single black and white dream. This...4.2.2007 15:33

Blood transfusions do not alter the DNA of the recipient.
Blood is composed of four main elements: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma. Of these only white blood cells contain DNA.
The normal transfusion involves only red blood cells, which do not contain DNA.
There are rare occasions of whole blood transfusion, but even in these cases no traces of foreign DNA have been detected in the recipient's blood, regardless of how much was transfused.
